A Century of Excellence
Edmund A. Gray Company is currently under the leadership of the 3rd, 4th and now 5th generations of the Gray family. We are proud to be continuing the legacy and traditions of our previous family members.
Founded in Los Angeles, California, E.A. Gray Co. has grown from a single-product manufacturer into a comprehensive pipe nipple, fitting and PVF supplier in the Western United States. Our pipe nipple manufacturing capabilities, fully stocked warehouses and same-day service capacity set us apart from most of our competitors in the market.
We manufacture and distribute steel, brass, stainless steel, plastic, and aluminum pipe nipples, along with a full range of malleable iron, bronze, stainless steel, aluminum, and merchant steel fittings — all from our Los Angeles headquarters. More recently, we've added lines of valves, flanges and sanitary stainless products to our inventories.
Our commitment to technology keeps us aligned with the needs of our customers: EDI integration through both SPS Commerce and LBMX SupplyCloud, piece and package barcoding, custom packaging and labeling, laser marking for identification and traceability and technology cross-reference services mean we can meet the most demanding supply chain requirements of our customers.

Our History
Five generations of family leadership spanning more than a century of American manufacturing.
Edmund A. Gray founds the company in Los Angeles, California, establishing the first pipe nipple manufacturing operation in the Western United States.
Having outgrown its founding location, Edmund Gray builds a new facility and relocates the company to what is still our location today.
Second generation of the Gray family takes the helm, expanding manufacturing operations and growing the customer base across the Western U.S.
Third generation leadership begins to broaden product line offerings and expands into custom fabrication and specialty products.
Fourth generation joins the company, bringing new technology initiatives and modernizing processes to keep up with an ever-changing business landscape.
Edmund A Gray Company continues to grow, adding new warehousing and production space and bring new products to market.
Fifth generation joins the company with a fresh perspective on technology and begins development of future-facing initiatives.
